An exciting rumor was clarified in eastern Switzerland and caused a sensation. It was rumored that the 2024/2025 World Cup could take place in Appenzell - and it will, but in a very special form .
The creative team behind the concept and cultural space ink in Appenzell, in collaboration with the founders of Timbaer, Andreas Dobler and Dano Waldburger, had the visionary idea of bringing the World Cup to Appenzell in a unique way. From 12 . From January to the end of April 2024, a special photography exhibition will take place at the ink, in which ski stars Wendy Holdener, Marco Büchel and photographer Thomas Biasotto will present their photographs.
Inspired by this collaboration, the concept of an attractive supporting program emerged. There will be public viewing of the big speed ski races in the ink, accompanied by an après-ski party on the evening before the races on Engelgasse in Appenzell, which is called a start number distribution. A highlight is the betting office, where visitors can bet on athletes who will compete in the ski race the next day. Bettors receive the same number of World Cup points as their chosen skier achieved on race day. At the end of the season the World Cup winner will be announced on the 23rd . March 2024 honored!
